Imagine how life would be like now if Thomas Edison (i know he did not originally discover glowing carbon) gave up after his 20th atempt at making the light bulb, stating: "Because i can not do it now, it is impossible to be done."
Or if the Wright brothers stated: "Man can not fly so there is no use to even try".

Invention is a different concept. These are people with an idea working to prove that idea.
For every Edison or Wright Brother there are others that have an idea that comes to nothing either because of effort or because it is impossible.

The beauty of science is that it can adjust to new information. At the moment God doesn't matter to science because there is nothing missing from scientific theory that would require a God.

IMO
Science does not have to disprove or prove a God's existance.
To science, there is no God period. close(-)

Until there is evidence, yes we can. So to be very clear, you are also stating for the record, "Science dictates that we cannot claim there is no such thing as the tooth fairy"."

Why is that NOT true? Something does not exist until proven to. Isn't that the same for a God?
We know that ALL Gods are inventions of Mankind.

I am saying Science can say there is no such thing.
I am not saying Science can prove God doesn't exist.

These are two different statements. close(-)

I am entitled to my OPINION. I am entitled to disagree with you and voice my OPINION.

I have given very plausible reasons why it is a NON issue to Science.
I did not and have not said that Science CAN disprove God. If you think I have, please remind me.

You pretend to be the purveyor of all knowledge and the only person on this web site to understand Human nature.
You dream up elaborate stories to "test" people and see if they measure up and to hopefully see them fail so you can have a little "holier than thou titter" to yourself.

Instead you have your own belief system which is tied to science where you get to dictate what you want to believe. Like everyone else.

I dictate! Take a look in the mirror.
Show me where it is written that Science HAS to disprove God. Show me where it is written that Science has to prove God. It is a Non-Issue to Science because God does not exist, except in the minds of Men.

I thought I was debating. I am certainly not dicating anything. close(-)

Science leaves it at there is no evidence of God.
It does not say, because of that, there is no God.
Just no evidence of.
That is where personal beliefs come into play.

I am saying that because there is no evidence as far as Science is concerned there is no God.
It is not imcumbant upon Science to disprove. It is incumbant on those who say there is to prove it.

Science can keep an open mind and if some evidence arrives, adjust it's position.

So in the case of your Monkey (or your Cats), Science can say "using everything we have to measure with, there is NO Monkey". I would have to provide some evidence that would help Science to understand what I am seeing.

I'd not assign my own personalized beliefs to it. I'd leave it as an interesting variable in life.
